The Greek Myth of Persephone, the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, the mother of agriculture is how the Greeks explained the seasons. Persephone is married to Hades, the god of the Underworld. She spends one third of her time with him down below, and two thirds of her time above ground.

When Persephone is is in Hades her mother weeps, being unconcerned with the harvest or fruitfulness of the earth, but when Persephone returns above ground Demeter springs forth and renews the earth and the harvest.

With the dark months over, we're moving into the warmth of the light. The fresh energy is all around us as we shift from the inner-focus of winter to the outward-focus of Spring and Summer.

Everything is coming alive, Nature is waking up and being reborn. Which of your winter's dreams do you want to focus on?
